Starting from 10th position, Sebastian Vettel made an impressive comeback during the race and eventually finished in second place at the Grand Prix. Mark Webber, who started from 12th on the grid, also managed to climb up the ranks, but the Australian driver ended up in 6th place due to a lack of top speed.
