Sunday: Maldonado and Senna leave Spa empty-handed
While Pastor Maldonado's race ended prematurely, Bruno Senna's race finished outside the points, in twelfth position, as the Brazilian, who was in the Top 10 for a long time, suffered from a poor strategy and a slow puncture towards the end of the race.
Bruno Senna – 12th:
We went for an aggressive strategy and it seemed that the safety car could help us, but in the end, the difference in pace between the cars with fresher tires was too great. We then had a slow puncture, which meant I had to stop once more before the end. Overall, it’s a day we want to forget but we need to learn as much as possible from it and ensure we are in a better position for Monza to score some points for the team.
Pastor Maldonado – Retirement:
« I made a slight mistake at the start because the clutch slipped from my hands before the red lights went out. We then got caught in the start incident and it compromised our race. I am disappointed because we couldn’t score good points here, but there isn’t long to wait before the next race, so I am looking forward to it. »
