After starting from pole position, Jenson Button secured his second victory of the season and his first at Spa. The British driver led the race with masterly control. He finished ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen. Noteworthy was the major crash at the first corner that eliminated Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Romain Grosjean, and Sergio Pérez.
