The Marussia team almost succeeded in having both of its drivers finish the Australian Grand Prix. Timo Glock took the checkered flag in 14th position, while Charles Pic did not have that honor. The French driver had to stop in the pits a few laps from the end but was still classified. The Russian team is pleased with the debut of the MR01 in competition but is also aware that there is still a lot of work to be done to improve.

After a disappointing qualifying session, the Sauber team performed well at the Australian Grand Prix. Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez both finished in the points. The Japanese driver climbed to 6th place and the Mexican to 8th after starting 22nd, thanks to a one-stop strategy.

Mercedes wants to put an end to two mixed years, and the entire technical team of the German team has worked to design an innovative F1 W03. The Venezuelan driver will start from 8th place on the grid tomorrow and hopes to score his first points of the season. His teammate, Bruno Senna, did not have the same success, and the Brazilian just wants to give his best and hopes to climb up the hierarchy during the race.

Felipe Massa hoped to fight for a podium this weekend in Australia, but after the qualifying session, it is clear that the Brazilian and Scuderia Ferrari will have to lower their expectations. Neither Fernando Alonso nor Felipe Massa managed to get past Q2, and both men acknowledge that the F2012 is not as good or as fast as its rivals. The Italian team will therefore have to work to improve, and earning a few points tomorrow during the race seems to be the only achievable goal for the men from Maranello.

Even though Timo Glock's qualifying time is almost two seconds behind Petrov's and his Caterham, the German driver was pleased with the progress made by the Marussia team. Charles Pic, who clocked a time half a second behind his teammate, is happy with his day and hopes to leave Australia with the feeling of having given it his all after tomorrow's race.
