Buoyed by a strong start to the season, the Sauber team is in 6th place in the constructors' championship, just 25 points behind Mercedes, which is in 5th place. Peter Sauber, the head of the eponymous team, stated that the goal for his men should be to beat the Silver Arrows.

After scoring 20 points in Germany, accounting for a quarter of its total since the beginning of the year, the Sauber team approaches the Hungarian Grand Prix with confidence. Both drivers, Kobayashi and Pérez, believe they have a car that should be competitive on the Hungaroring and therefore hope to achieve good results before going on vacation.

The Red Bull team expected more from this German Grand Prix. Mark Webber failed to find sufficient pace during the race and the Australian driver only finished in 8th place. Sebastian Vettel, on the other hand, was more comfortable, but he was penalized by the stewards for overtaking while off the track, which deprived him of a podium finish.

The McLaren team was hoping for much better from this qualifying session, but both of its drivers encountered some difficulties with their tires in the rain. Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton managed to limit the damage and expect to have a much more interesting race on dry ground, with a car that has so far proven to be faster than in the rain in Germany.
