The television program “6 Hours of Spa”
Endurance is back for the third round of the World Championship. On May 9, 10 and 11, the Hypercars and GT3s will set their wheels in Spa. But how to follow the different sessions?
You’ll have to get used to it. Watch out for stragglers or habits. Otherwise, you may miss the first sessions. In Spa, that’s how it is. Cars start running on Thursday and the race takes place on Saturday. And not on Sunday like other events in the calendar.
The first free practice session is scheduled for 11:30 am on Thursday, May 9. And the second one in the late afternoon. The green flag will be presented to the drivers at 5:30 pm. Only a live timing on the official website of WEC will be available for this first day of running.
Friday’s schedule will start at 11 a.m. with the third and final free practice session. In the early afternoon, the various qualifying phases will take place. First up are the GT3s at 2:45 p.m. followed by the hyperpole at 3:08 p.m. The Hypercars will take to the track at 3:30 p.m. and the fastest ones will compete at 3:53 p.m. for the pole position. All these sessions can be watched on the WEC website, this time in video, as well as on Eurosport.
Finally, the start of the 6 Hours of Spa will be on Saturday at 1 p.m. and will end at 7 p.m. Once again, the same broadcasting offer as the day before will be available. L’Équipe, through its website, will enhance the choices.
