Alpine, the theme of the next exhibition at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum
From May 25, the public will be able to discover a new exhibition at the Le Mans circuit museum. It will be dedicated to Alpine. Several themes will be addressed.
Every year, there is movement. After honoring the most remarkable cars of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, on the occasion of the race’s centenary, Alpine will be in the spotlight this year.
The next exhibition at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Circuit Museum will be dedicated to the french brand and its connection to the Le Mans classic. An opportunity for families and enthusiasts to discover or rediscover the history, but also the numerous links with the 24 Hours of Le Mans: from the first participation to the era of the Hypercar, notes the Automobile Club de l’Ouest in a press release.
Starting from Saturday, May 25, the public will be able to discover the Renault Barquette Charles Deutsch. A car that is based on a 4CV. This one was driven by Jean Rédélé, who is one of the first drivers to embark on a career as a manufacturer in order to obtain the vehicle capable of leading him to victory. Other drivers will follow the same path such as Jean Rondeau or Yves Courage.
The Alpine A442B, which won the race in 1978 with the duo Pironi/Jaussaud, will be highlighted. Just like the A210 driven by the Olympic ski champion, Jean-Claude Killy, in 1969. A car that helped establish a connection between the Olympic Games and Le Mans.
