Like many drivers, Pérez and Kobayashi didn't run much this morning due to the heavy rains that were falling on the Yeongam circuit in South Korea. The two Sauber drivers made up for it in the afternoon, but the Swiss team's car doesn't work well with the intermediate tires provided by Pirelli.
