Fabio Leimer and Esteban Gutierrez will have the opportunity to drive the Sauber C30 in Abu Dhabi during the young drivers' test. The two men, who were opponents this season in GP2, will drive for the Swiss team from November 15 to 17 - Gutierrez is expected to drive for two of the three days and Leimer for one day.

At the beginning of the season, Scuderia Ferrari expected to be able to compete with Red Bull, but that was not the case. The cause was quickly identified: the Italian team's wind tunnel was providing values that did not correspond at all to the reality of the track, leading to excessive optimism. However, that is now a thing of the past, as Stefano Domenicali has stated that the wind tunnel has been modified throughout the year to resolve this issue.

The FIA banned the system called F-Duct, implemented by McLaren in 2010, which does not prevent Mercedes GP from working on a similar system that would be perfectly legal.
