Ecclestone injured during an assault in London

Bernie Ecclestone was assaulted Wednesday evening in central London and he suffers from a head injury.

The 80-year-old man and his girlfriend Fabiani Fiosi were attacked by four men outside the offices of his company, Formula One Holdings.

Ecclestone was kicked and punched before his attackers escaped with approximately 235,000 euros worth of jewelry.

A police report says he was taken to a hospital in west London for treatment before being discharged from that hospital.

The report also says that there were no other injuries and that the stolen items are considered to be a quantity of jewelry.
