The new Hispania Racing Team (formerly Campos), a challenger for this 2010 season, unveiled its car this Thursday, just under a week before the first Grand Prix, in Bahrain.
The single-seater, just out of the factory, has undergone no testing. Therefore, reliability could not be tested, and the latest parts, added at a lower cost, result in an excess of 20 kilos in the single-seater compared to what the manufacturer intended.
This is none other than Dallara, based in Italy, which, after a long period of financial uncertainty, built the Campos F1 car before it was purchased to become Hispania Racing Team.
The team has also confirmed its two drivers: Karun Chandhok and his partner Bruno Senna, who seems confident about the team’s future results.
It should be noted that the car will only undergo its first tests on Friday during the free practice sessions of the first Grand Prix of the season, which implies a possible delay for this new entry in Formula 1.
