Bernie Ecclestone, always the first to catch everyone off guard, revealed to the Times that the deadline for Donington is this Tuesday at 11:59 PM. However, the company, Donington Ventures Leisure Limited, stated in a press release published on Friday, October 23, on the official Donington Park circuit website, that the deadline was Monday, October 26, at 12 PM GMT (1 PM in France).

Nevertheless, the organizers revealed in the same statement that they need to find no less than 150 million euros to finance the completion of the reconstruction work of the circuit. Furthermore, Bernie Ecclestone has intensified talks with the BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club), owner of the Silverstone circuit, by making them a new offer. Bernie Ecclestone admits that the 2010 British Grand Prix will not be held at Donington Park.
