Norbert Haug denies rumors about Jenson Button

Mercedes Motorsport director, Norbert Haug, has played down rumors that the new Formula One world champion, Jenson Button, could drive for McLaren next season.

The English newspapers reported this Friday that McLaren, backed by one of its sponsors, Vodafone, was on the verge of signing Jenson Button to team up with his compatriot, Lewis Hamilton.

Norbert Haug dismissed all speculations and called them a dream. « There are currently no negotiations with Jenson Button, but I understand the fact that the English would like to see an English team with two English world champion drivers in its seats. But dreams do not always become reality. »
