Jenson Button: « Ross Brawn deserves a medal »

Recently crowned world champion Jenson Button did not forget to thank the BrawnGP team director during the celebration on Sunday night. The Brawn GP driver stated that Ross Brawn deserved a medal for saving the Brackley base and for winning both world championship titles in their first season.

This team wouldn’t exist if Ross wasn’t there. His name is on the side of the car and that’s a lot of pressure for one person. So for him, winning both championship titles today is exceptional. Declares the 2009 champion.

The Briton also thanked the rest of the team for their hard work, even during a period of uncertainty after Honda announced its withdrawal from Formula 1.
