Jenson Button claims he wants to stay with Ross Brawn’s team next season. It has been reported that the leader of the Formula 1 World Championship is reassessing his salary for next year and has already received a satisfactory offer. It is also expected that the German Nico Rosberg will be directly placed in the Brawn GP team, which would mean that either Jenson Button, or his teammate, will be relegated to the sidelines.
The German newspaper Auto Bild Motorsport notes that Button is delighted to be where he is: “I am completely happy here. There is a good atmosphere at Brawn.”
« We have been through a lot together, and finally, we are reaching the top, » explains the Briton who joined the team when it was called BAR in 2003. « I intend to stay, » declares the championship leader. « I believe we will continue to be strong next year because we have the best boss – Ross [Brawn] will ensure we are among the front runners next year. »
