The Fan-F1 standings after the Belgian GP

There is indeed an official ranking in Formula 1 that allocates points based on the importance of the positions secured, meaning with a decreasing scale by two for the top three positions. 10 points for the winner, 8 for the second place, and 6 for the third.

This scale only rewards drivers who finish in the top eight, with those regularly in the top 10 (such as 9th and 10th place) never being acknowledged, even though these positions are nearly as significant as an eighth place, which typically awards a point.

To rectify the situation, casinoenligne.uk.com invents the regularity ranking: Each driver receives a point according to their reverse order of finish, provided they have crossed the checkered flag. In case of withdrawal, they receive no points. The first receives 22 points, the second 21, the third 20, and so on… The 22nd, if there is one, will therefore get only one point.

In the end, we obtain a ranking based on the finishing position of each race, showing the consistency of each driver and allowing for the recognition of the driver’s work within the team, not just their position.

During this rather eventful Grand Prix, there were many changes in this consistency ranking. The leader of this ranking, who suffered a retirement, is dangerously close to his runner-up Mark Webber. Only a 9-point lead separates the two contenders for victory. Barrichello retains his 3rd place just ahead of Nico Rosberg. Glock remains firmly in his 5th position.

The good deal is credited to Nick Heidfeld, the German who moves from 9th place to 7th, just one point behind Lewis Hamilton (6th). Räikkönen also makes an excellent move by climbing to 8th position. The 6th, 7th, and 8th places are separated by only 3 points! Fernando Alonso falls from 7th to 9th place, just like Trulli who drops from 8th to 11th position. Vettel does well by gaining a place to end up 10th.

Fisichella, brilliant 2nd in the Grand Prix, trades places with the recovering Massa and thus takes the 12th position in this ranking. No change for Kovalainen (14th) and Kubica (15th) who is getting closer to the injured Brazilian. Following are Nakajima in 16th position, Piquet relegated to 17th place, Sutil rising from 20th to 18th position, Buemi holding his place (19th). Notably, in terms of points, Sutil and Buemi are tied with 75 points each. At the bottom of the ranking, we find Bourdais continuing to tumble (20th), Alguersuari (21st), and Badoer reclaiming a place (22nd) at the expense of Romain Grosjean.
