After the home Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, Sebastian Vettel still trails by 21 points in the world championship against leader Jenson Button. Despite gaining 4 points in Germany, Vettel is far from Button, but the German driver moves up to second place overall. A ranking that Vettel does not take lightly: “I can still become World Champion, even if it will be very, very difficult,” he explains to the German newspaper Das Bild.

The recent runner-up of the German Grand Prix is aware of the gap between the Red Bull drivers and those of Brawn GP in the championship, but he does not get discouraged: « The season is still quite long, and I have a good feeling because our car is getting stronger with each Grand Prix. « Baby Schumi, as the press loves to call him, hopes that his team will continue in the right direction. « We worked hard during the 3-week vacation to be on point, » he finally says.

The Red Bull double, the third of its kind, clearly shows the upper hand that Adrian Newey’s Red Bulls have taken over the Brawn GP drivers. The championship is truly reignited…
