The Grand Prix at the ‘Yas Marina Circuit’ is scheduled to start at 3:00 PM local time, but Gurdjian hinted at negotiations with the sports governing bodies to adopt a different concept.

« For the moment, the departure time is set for 3:00 PM. But the final decision depends on Bernie Ecclestone, » he declared.

We have a certain idea of what we would like to do, but I can’t tell you more about it today! We have a very precise idea and I hope we will be able to achieve it. It will be unique, like the track.

Gurdjian also described as ridiculous the speculations of recent weeks, suggesting that the construction of the Abu Dhabi track would not be ready in time and that Canada would replace the event.

“I don’t know who leaked this story, but from my point of view, it’s ridiculous. I don’t understand where this rumor is coming from,” he explained.

« For my part, we are making progress. The workers are doing good work. The circuit site is an island that had sand, no bridges, no roads, no electricity, no water. But everything will be ready on time. »
