The commissioners reject BMW’s protest

The protest by BMW-Sauber against the legality of the diffusers of Brawn GP, Toyota, and Williams has been rejected. This means that the German team will now certainly join the hearing of the International Court of Appeal on April 14.

The Malaysian Grand Prix received a protest from BMW-Sauber on Saturday after the qualifying session regarding the famous double diffuser used by three rival teams.

This resulted from protests by Renault, Red Bull Racing, and Ferrari at the Australian GP, which were also rejected.

However, BMW-Sauber has appealed this decision, which ensures that the results of the Malaysian GP will now be considered during the hearing.

The director of BMW Motorsport Mario Theissen stated that he did not expect leniency from the race officials. He simply wanted to ensure that the results of the Malaysian GP were considered during the FIA appeal hearing.
