Fernando Alonso has decided to lighten his schedule this Thursday in Sepang because he is suffering from an ear infection, in other words, an otitis.
The Spaniard wishes to stay at his hotel near the circuit in Kuala Lumpur because of the illness that developed following the Australian Grand Prix.
Alonso will therefore miss the scheduled briefings today intended for teams and drivers, but he should be on track on Friday to participate in the first free practice session of the weekend.
A spokesperson for the Renault team stated: « He should be fine for tomorrow. It is better for him to leave the circuit today to get some rest. »
