The latest tests in March confirm that the FW31 has every chance among the rest of the field. In Melbourne, the team will not use its KERS, but one of the two Williams drivers has fond memories of the Australian race and wishes to reiterate the experience…
Nico Rosberg – Racing Driver:
« I am really looking forward to racing on the Albert Park track. I had a great race here in 2008. I am determined to have an equally good start to the season. This type of semi-urban circuit generally suits our car well. »
« Winter testing went well, but I think we are not yet where we want to be. However, the development potential is huge due to the new rules. That’s why we will be looking to make progress throughout the year to get closer to the podium. I believe the new regulations are interesting. It is very likely that they will lead to more overtaking and a grander spectacle.
Kazuki Nakajima – Racing Driver:
« What can I tell you, I love Australia. It’s the perfect place to start the year. We have a good car, which will allow us to compete with other teams, that’s for sure. »
This season, the competition is closer and tougher, which makes this feeling of excitement so intense. The question is whether we will get the best out of the car. We all hope so, but we’ll see after the 58 laps of the race on Sunday afternoon.
