Jean Todt has officially left the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari after resigning from all positions he held within the company.
He resigned from his role as CEO of Ferrari last year, but wanted to stay with the Scuderia in various roles. However, during a board meeting on Tuesday, Chairman Luca di Montezemolo announced that Todt was leaving Ferrari entirely.
Di Montezemolo wanted to pay tribute to Todt, who helped the team become world champions several times. He had joined them in 1993.
« Jean Todt has been one of the main protagonists in Ferrari’s history over the past 15 years, » said Montezemolo.
« His competence and passion have always characterized his work and earned him respect and my affection, as well as that of the entire company and fans of the Prancing Horse team. »
I wish him the best for the future, which I hope will be very fulfilling both personally and professionally.
« All these years we spent together with victories but also difficult moments have helped to build a relationship with Jean Todt that will never be broken, » concluded the Italian.
