Force India tests its new car at Silverstone

Force India ran its Mercedes-powered single-seater, the VJM02, for the first time. These tests took place yesterday behind closed doors at the Silverstone circuit, exactly four days before its official launch.

The Indian team has decided to publicly unveil its 2009 car on Sunday before the Jerez tests next week. Prior to these, Force India conducted a short shakedown before heading to Spain.

Giancarlo Fisichella is announced to drive the VJM02 for the first two days of testing, on Monday and Tuesday, while his teammate Adrian Sutil will take responsibility for the last two days (Wednesday and Thursday).
