Felipe Massa says he is satisfied with his testing in Bahrain even though these two days were interrupted by unfavorable weather conditions.
Tuesday, the first two hours were lost due to fog and Massa was only able to complete 17 laps just before yesterday’s sandstorm forced the teams to stay in the pits.
But the Brazilian was the fastest over the few laps completed before the storm, even though comparing Ferrari on one side with BMW-Sauber and Toyota on the other is a bit premature. It should be noted that the Scuderia did not run with its KERS on Tuesday.
« Tuesday, we had quite a good day, and we didn’t use the KERS, » said Massa.
« He was, in fact, on the car, but just inactive because we asked ourselves a small question at the start of the day and changing the KERS would have taken too much time. »
« Yesterday, we used it, but by Tuesday it was the right decision to make. »
« We have made progress in setting up the single-seater to find a bit more stability. I am very happy about that. We understood a lot of things in one day, and I am sure that we still have a lot to understand. »
Massa passes the baton to his teammate Kimi Räikkönen today for this third day of testing.
