Bruno Senna formally denies a planned return to GP2 in 2009. The 25-year-old Brazilian tested last season in Formula 1 and was strongly rumored to be a new race driver at Toro Rosso or Honda.
Contrary to that, according to British sources, Senna would certainly not remain in GP2 in 2009.
« I just said that I can’t promise anything to the iSport team in GP2 at the moment because I am waiting to see if there is a possibility in F1, » said the nephew of the illustrious Ayrton Senna.
It is clear that the chances of seeing Senna in F1 are more than slim since Honda does not seem to find a buyer and the talks with Toro Rosso via Red Bull have led nowhere.
« I wanted a test, I got it, but I would have gladly paid for the entire season, » thus opening up the possibility of a future test driver position within a team.
