The Monaco Grand Prix has been voted the First Wonder of the Sport World. This poll, conducted by Barclays Bank in the United Kingdom, favors F1 over Football. The survey, conducted over three weeks and questioning more than 3,500 Britons, aimed to elect the 7 wonders of the sports world.
The Principality of Monaco was thus elected by more than 18% of the votes. It is therefore the most beautiful sports venue for the English. The circuit, the only automotive representative on the list, thus surpasses football, which was also widely acclaimed.
The Camp Nou stadium, which belongs to the FC Barcelona team, comes second with 15% of the votes. The Bird’s Nest stadium in Beijing, used last summer for the Olympic Games, reaches the podium with 14% of the votes.
