Mugello Day 4 – Massa Finally Takes Advantage of the Weather

The Scuderia Ferrari completed its first full testing session with the new F60. The team was at Mugello and enjoyed favorable conditions with Felipe Massa for its 4th day of testing.

On the private Italian track of the prancing horse, Massa took the wheel of the red single-seater for the third time (after last week’s shakedown). He was the only one in 4 days to drive under dry weather conditions. The Brazilian driver indeed put on slick tires late in the morning, around 11 am. He was thus able to complete more than 100 laps during the day, with a best time of 1:23.981.

« I am happy with the way these last few days have gone », Massa said. « We were finally able, today, to test the car in the dry and for more than an hour! »

« The first impressions are positive, even though it is obviously too early to place ourselves from a performance standpoint. We would have needed to be with other teams for that. »

« However, if I were asked to choose our strongest point right now, I would vote for reliability. We have covered over 1500 kilometers without major issues! ». Continue le brésilien.

Regarding the weather, Felipe Massa does not regret choosing Mugello and thus canceling the testing in Portimao, Portugal. The rain hit both sides: « It is true that with the weather, we were not lucky, but if you look at what happened in the Algarve, we did well to change our program to come here… »
