Webber wants to return on February 9th

Australian Mark Webber is still determined to get back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car at the beginning of February.

The Red Bull Racing driver broke his right leg in a biking accident in November. He is continuing his recovery with the aim of testing the new RB5 when it is launched on February 9th.

Webber is currently undergoing very intense training, including swimming, and hopes to be fit very soon.

« I want to be back in the car for the tests at the beginning of February, » said Webber to Auto Motor und Sport magazine.

« The doctors say that I am doing well at this stage of recovery. I am at 80% of my capacity. »

The Australian admitted that luck was on his side with his right leg broken instead of his left.

« It could have been much worse. I was lucky that it was the right and not the left because the first one is less subjected to strain than the second in Formula 1, » he added.
