The Italian sports daily, Gazzetta dello Sport wrote this Sunday that the Spanish Formula 1 driver, Fernando Alonso who is under contract with Renault until 2010 will join the Ferrari team from 2011.
The sports daily expressed rather favorable opinions about Brazilian driver Felipe Massa, while Kimi Räikkönen must absolutely respond to maintain his position.
« The Brazilian driver Felipe Massa had an excellent year in 2008 and can sleep peacefully, » wrote the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Much less optimism is therefore to be credited to Kimi Räikkönen.
« If Kimi does not recover after a disappointing 2008 season, then Scuderia Ferrari will look to break his contract to bring in Alonso as early as 2010. »
For the moment, no comment or denial from Ferrari regarding this rumor.
