Pedro de la Rosa in the McLaren-Mercedes finished at the top of the timesheet on the second day of testing at the new Portuguese track in Algarve.
Taking on more roles than Gary Paffett, the Spaniard spent the entire day with a KERS-equipped single-seater. The grip conditions were not ideal, especially at the start of the day.
Ultimately, the increase in afternoon temperatures allowed de la Rosa to conduct a more thorough work by focusing on the 2009 aerodynamics.
Ferrari had two cars on the track today with Luca Badoer and Marc Gene. They focused on setup and evaluation of the tires and engine. Three requirements for next season.
