Renault has decided to move forward the official unveiling of its new R29 to Monday, January 19, 2009. This presentation will take place at the new Algarve Motor Park circuit in the south of Portugal, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., while the R29 will make its first laps on this same track the following day with Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet, the team’s official drivers.
This presentation will consist of the traditional press briefings with Flavio Briatore and the Renault drivers. The team has also scheduled a technical briefing with Bob Bell, Chassis Technical Director, and Rob White, Deputy Director (engine), to explain the approach and philosophy that led to the design of the new Renault single-seater.
This press conference will be open to all journalists accredited by the Algarve Motor Park circuit to follow the test session scheduled from January 20 to 22, as well as radio and television stations that have paid the FOM fees.
