Rubens Barrichello confirmed that Toro Rosso was one of his options to remain in competition next season.
The Brazilian veteran still holds hope of being retained by Honda, which did not call him during the recent Barcelona event, preferring to evaluate young GP2 drivers like Bruno Senna or Lucas Di Grassi.
As the battle rages for its two race seats, Toro Rosso, powered by Ferrari and the B team of Red Bull Racing, is an option for the driver now aged 36.
According to the German website sport1.de, he confirmed his ties with the small Scuderia.
In parallel to his hopes of staying with Honda, Barrichello stated: « That’s what motivates me at the moment. »
« I love what I do and I still have a lot of energy, » he added.
