The F1 commentator, Martin Brundle, has confirmed that he will be on BBC next season after working for many years on ITV, the rival channel.
This transfer is explained by the fact that the BBC has purchased the broadcasting rights for the Formula 1 Grand Prix for five years. The question of transferring the commentators arose quickly because the Brundle/Legard duo is an institution in Great Britain!
However, to date, only Brundle has been confirmed while his sidekick, Jonathan Legard, has not been told about his fate. The former revealed that he has already started working for the BBC.
« I am delighted to announce that I will be joining the BBC next year, » he told Autosport.
« I have been an F1 commentator for twelve years. After long deliberations, I decided to accept the BBC’s offer and I am now very happy to work for this channel. »
