Pedro de la Rosa, test driver for the McLaren-Mercedes team, is driving today and tomorrow on behalf of Force India during the Barcelona tests.
The Spaniard, who worked with his own team yesterday, confirmed on his website that he has been transferred to Force India for the last two days of testing.
The Indian team announced last week that it had concluded a technical partnership with McLaren and Mercedes for 2009. The Woking team said it did not want to impose drivers.
Vijay Mallya, owner of Force India, stated in front of McLaren that his two drivers, Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil, will remain in place in 2009.
Spanish media announced on Tuesday that de la Rosa had already signed a racing agreement with Force India for 2009, but a McLaren spokesperson stated that the deal was only concluded for the two days of testing.
