Takuma Sato will participate for the second time in testing with Toro Rosso. These will take place during the month of November.
The former Grand Prix driver had driven an STR2 last January in Jerez.
Bruno Senna, already in the running and scheduled for tests with Honda, could also be in action for the small Scuderia just like Sebastien Buemi.
As for Rubens Barrichello, he was linked with Red Bull’s sister team for a seat in 2009.
The information was confirmed by Toro Rosso and not by 31-year-old Sato.
According to a statement from the Red Bull team: « We are extremely happy to announce that Takuma Sato will be testing for Toro Rosso in Barcelona on November 17 and 18. »
The team must still decide on its driver line-up for the 2009 season.
Sato began his career in 2002 with Jordan Honda, then raced for BAR Honda and Super Aguri Honda before the latter team withdrew after the Spanish Grand Prix in 2008 due to financial reasons.
