Karun Chandhok is expected to reach an agreement with Force India to become the team’s test driver in 2009. This will be finalized in the coming days according to an Indian newspaper.
Chandhok, 24 years old, who was in GP2 this year, has always stated a desire to join the world of Formula 1.
The Indian driver is said to have accepted an offer from his compatriot Vijay Mallya for a test driver role with Force India, combining it with another season in GP2 in 2009.

The tests are limited in F1, a measure that goes in the direction of cost reduction. It is for this reason that it is easy to drive in GP2 and participate in tests.
