« For reasons related to the financial situation, the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA) has decided to cancel the French Grand Prix, » the Federation stated in a press release.
The FFSA would like to thank all the supporters who attended the French Grand Prix and who have supported this international event over the past few years.
The French race was present on the official calendar published a few days ago by the FIA for the 2009 season.
This season will only have 17 races since the Canadian Grand Prix will also be absent from the list.
