The appeal from the McLaren team regarding Lewis Hamilton and his 25-second penalty at the Belgian Grand Prix will be heard on September 22. The FIA has just confirmed the information.
The FIA International Court of Appeal will meet in Paris on the Monday before the Singapore Grand Prix for this long-awaited hearing. The decision is expected to be known the following day.
There are still some doubts as to whether McLaren has the possibility of appealing what is known as a drive-through. The court will decide at the hearing whether the appeal is admissible or not.
McLaren remains adamant that Hamilton did not gain an advantage by cutting the chicane in his battle with Kimi Räikkönen since the Briton handed back the position gained to the Finn.
