Starting Grid – Unchanged positions for the European GP

The race stewards reviewed the qualifications and delivered their verdict: no penalty will be issued for the starting grid on Sunday.

The European Grand Prix in Valencia will indeed start as planned after the qualifiers. Felippe Massa (Ferrari) will start in pole position alongside Lewis Hamilton (McLaren). Robert Kubica (BMW) will be with Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) on the second row while Heikki Kovalainen and Sebastian Vettel (Toro Rosso) will start from the third row.

Valencia is an urban circuit, and with the rain repeatedly washing the asphalt, there is no real preference for one side. Therefore, there is not yet a clean or dirty side, and only the driver’s start will make the difference here. See you at 14:00 (Paris Time).
