The president of Singapore will host a charity luncheon on the Friday of the first Singapore Grand Prix in Formula 1 history.
Recent and former F1 champions will join celebrities and invited personalities at the official residence of President SR Nathan.
The director of the Singapore Grand Prix, Teo Hock Seng, stated: « This welcome meal during the Grand Prix will be a charity luncheon, where the teams will set aside their rivalries to come together for a just cause. »
Bernie Ecclestone regarded this lunch as an official Formula 1 event for the drivers and team principals to be present.
A meeting with the drivers will be possible. An auction of F1 memorabilia will also be organized. Indeed, the organizers hope that the event will raise more than 350,000 pounds, or nearly 442,000 euros.
