During the summer break in August, testing is prohibited for the entire track; however, the Renault team is working on development programs.
During these three weeks, experimentation is indeed prohibited, but teams are still allowed to conduct aerodynamic tests not exceeding fifty kilometers.
According to the local newspaper Wilts Gloucestershire Standard, Renault is working on a new braking system and is conducting its tests at Kemble Airport, which is located about an hour’s drive from the Enstone base.
Two drivers participated in this session, but their identities were not revealed.
McLaren and Force India also tested at Kemble last week, which led to a number of complaints from local residents due to the noise of the single-seaters.
« I filed a complaint at the airport to find out the number of complaints filed this week and last week, » explained the environmental officer Ray Brassington.
