What types of tires for the last 4 races?

Bridgestone announced the compounds it will provide to teams for the last four Grand Prix races of the 2008 season.

The Japanese equipment supplier will provide soft and ultra-soft tires for the first night race in Singapore. Mediums and softs will be used for the Japanese Grand Prix… so no change compared to last year.

The hard and medium compounds will be used in China as in 2007.

Finally, for the last race of the season, which will once again conclude in Brazil, Bridgestone announced a change and will now offer soft and medium tires instead of the soft and ultra-soft tires used in 2007.

« After eleven races this season, we can now confirm our tire allocations for the final four races of the year, » said Hirohide Hamashima, director of Bridgestone Motorsport.

A high level of grip will be necessary on this track, which justifies this choice. In Japan and China, we will use the same compounds as those used in 2007. For Brazil, we intend to make this final challenge tougher.
