The championship leader, Felipe Massa, approaches the upcoming Grand Prix in Great Britain with some apprehension as he is suffering from the onset of the flu.
The Ferrari driver took part in testing at the Silverstone circuit for two days this week, finishing even at the top on Tuesday, before handing over to his teammate Kimi Räikkönen on Thursday for the final day.
« To be honest, I need a bit of rest now, » said the winner of the French Grand Prix.
Throughout the weekend in France, Massa experienced neck stiffness that was aggravated in an elevator at his hotel.
« Then, I must have caught a cold and had to do two days of testing with some kind of flu. Now I am very tired, » he confessed.
« I need to relax and focus on the next race. »
After treatment, Massa added that his neck was now completely healed. He also hopes to be fit in time for the Silverstone Grand Prix next week.
« I am sure that everything will be fine, » concluded the Brazilian.
