An important member of Renault bows out

After eight years of collaboration, Renault is today sorry to announce the departure of Dino Toso. As Director of Aerodynamics since 2003, Dino Toso has been instrumental in establishing one of the most efficient aerodynamics departments in the sport’s history. With him, the team has consistently finished among the top three in the Constructors’ World Championship and has claimed two double world titles in the premier category.

After having proposed a new aerodynamic package for the last Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, which should allow the R28 to compete with the leading teams by the end of the year, Dino is now eager to take on new challenges in the world of motorsport.

« I would like to thank Flavio Briatore and Bob Bell for their professional and personal support during my career at Renault and the successes we all enjoyed together », commented Dino Toso.

My passion for motorsport has always revolved around aerodynamic innovations and has been driven by my thirst for competition. I am now eager to take on other challenges that will allow me to fully express my technical creativity in the years to come and to focus on what I love most, which is competition.

Dirk De Beer has taken over from Dino Toso as the head of Renault’s Aerodynamics Department.
