Heidfeld gets A chance

Nick Heidfeld will get a chance to work on solving his qualifying issues this week during testing in Barcelona. His BMW Sauber team has adjusted the planned schedule to provide him with timing data.

The German, who was once again beaten by his teammate Robert Kubica during the Canadian Grand Prix, is unable to perform well on a single lap because of his tires.

In order to assist the driver, the team decided to give Heidfeld a test day this week. A modification of the schedule was therefore made as Kubica was supposed to be behind the wheel of his single-seater for all three days.

The tests will start on Thursday and will end on Saturday.
