Clean sweep at the 2008 British Grand Prix

The organizers of the British Grand Prix announced today that all tickets for the Silverstone race have been sold. It will take place on Sunday, July 6.

Nearly 100,000 people will attend the Grand Prix. There are only a limited number of tickets left for Saturday’s qualifiers.

The leader of this event and the championship, Lewis Hamilton is thrilled about this race in front of a frenzied crowd.

« I see fans waving their flags. It’s different when you’re in another country and you only see one or two flags; here you have the British flag everywhere, » said Hamilton.

The Managing Director of Silverstone, Richard Phillips, is delighted by the interest shown.

« This is the first time tickets have been sold this early for the race. Support for the British Grand Prix has been exceptional. Formula 1, the drivers, and the supporters deserve it. »
