Jarno Trulli hopes to get back in the points at the Canadian Grand Prix after two disappointing races in Turkey and Monaco.
The Toyota driver has finished in the points in three races since the start of the season but then finished 10th in Turkey and 13th in Monte Carlo.
Trulli believes that his results do not reflect the true potential of his Toyota. He is optimistic that he will once again be among the top eight in Montreal.
« I’ve never had much luck in Montreal and last year was not a good race for me since there was Robert Kubica’s accident. So, I’m expecting a much more positive weekend, » he commented.
« We have a completely different package compared to Monaco and I’m convinced that we can achieve better results. The weather conditions and traffic made things difficult in Monaco but I know we have a much better package than what the results show. »
« My goal is to get into the points, and I think we have a good chance of achieving them. »
His teammate, Timo Glock, is also eager for the Canadian race, where he participated in his first Grand Prix four years ago.
« I will never forget my first Grand Prix in 2004 as I finished seventh in Canada. It was an incredible experience, and I am very proud of my two points for my debut. I also raced on the same track in 2005 in Champ Car where I finished second. I almost won the race, but second place was my best result of the season, » the German said.
