The organizers of the Canadian Grand Prix have unveiled their new paddock and media center at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
With a cost of nearly 3 million pounds or more than 3,825,000 euros, this improvement should make life easier for teams and the media after years of being cramped in old buildings.
The new press center is located at the Olympic rowing basin whereas it used to be in the control tower.
Normand Legault, president and CEO of the Canadian Grand Prix, stated: « We have had to deal with a site that presents many challenges in terms of available space for a number of years. »
« And that is why today, I am very proud of what we have achieved for our biggest event, next weekend. »
« I would like, therefore, to thank our team for the excellent work they have done in such a limited time. They managed to do this brilliantly, in a very short timeframe to maximize the few spaces still available in this section of Notre-Dame Island. »
