Monaco GP – A 4th place that Williams wants to keep

Williams will undoubtedly fight until the end of the season for the gain of fourth place since Red Bull is 3 points ahead, while Renault and Toyota are both 4 points behind. The situation is therefore very tight after only 5 races.

For its part, the Grove team can highlight its stability and consistency. Indeed, Williams is the only team among those previously mentioned that has two drivers who regularly score points. Rosberg and Nakajima will once again aim to finish in the top 8 in Monaco.

Nico Rosberg – Racing Driver:

« I am very excited about the Monaco race. In fact, I am very excited about the next two races. Monaco is a legendary track and the Canadian Grand Prix is one of my favorites. I think that Monaco is a race where we can, with a bit of luck, make it to the podium. »

« It will be a great weekend because I live in the Principality. My family and friends will all be there and, for once, the journey will be short with just a 100-meter walk! »

Kazuki Nakajima – Race car driver

« I think Monaco will be a big challenge for me. It’s a track where I didn’t particularly shine when I was racing in GP2 last year. It will be my first race with a Formula 1 car. It requires a lot of skill and precision, it’s a great test for all drivers. »

The team has done everything possible to get the best car possible in Monaco. I hope I can leverage my team’s experience and turn it to my advantage. It’s truly a prestigious race and the atmosphere is quite special.

Sam Michael – Technical Director

« Monte Carlo is a large Formula 1 circuit. The drivers and engineers have to contend with numerous parameters, and succeeding on this track is a true feat. Like all urban circuits, Monaco has a very low level of grip, especially at the beginning of the weekend. In fact, the circuit evolves significantly between Friday and Sunday, making it very difficult to assess these changes. »

« It is crucial for the drivers to complete as many laps as possible during free practice and familiarize themselves with the circuit. We will bring forward some aerodynamic improvements on the cars in Monaco, which should increase our competitiveness and allow us to fight for points. »
