After a few races where the chances of scoring points were significant, misfortune repeatedly struck the Honda team. Finally, relief came in Spain as Jenson Button scored the team’s first three points.
All Honda members claim that the new aerodynamic package is a revolution and that the team is capable of rising from the ashes. It’s an opportunity for them to confirm these statements as early as this weekend in Turkey.
Jenson Button – Race Car Driver:
« The Turkish Grand Prix is one of my favorite races on the calendar, I achieved good results here in 2005 and 2006 by finishing in the Top 5 those two years. The layout is superb and enjoyable for drivers. There are overtaking opportunities. »
The Spanish Grand Prix marked our first major update for the RA108 with a new aerodynamic package that certainly brought a performance improvement over the weekend. It’s good to know that we are improving the car.
The single-seater that we will use in Turkey will essentially be the same. Q3 is therefore our goal with a place in the top 10.
